Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag to Seek Marriage Counseling, Help With Fame Addiction

He may be trying to sell tapes of the two of them boning, but Spencer Pratt still believes there's a chance to save his marriage to Heidi Montag - and wants to.

According to reports, the master manipulator is looking into counseling with the plastic princess, and sources close to the gruesome twosome say she's down.

Spencer Pratt still "loves" his estranged wife ... and is willing to do whatever it takes to stop the divorce - even if that means hard core couples therapy time.

Might Spencer also seek help for his other issues? Pratt has admitted to having a "fame addiction," say close sources, and wants to seek help for that too.

As for Heidi, she's reportedly willing to work things out, despite all of the public drama he's put her through recently. All of which just makes us wonder ...

Are these two for real?

The whole sex tape drama reeks of a stunt, from Spencer's threats of blackmail to her seclusion in Costa Rica, Karissa Shannon's strange involvement and so on.

Even if a Heidi Montag sex tape does exist, it seems highly unlikely they would release the thing, or that she would film it without the possibility in mind.

Spencer is supposedly trying to unload the XXX romp for $5 million ... unless Heidi tears up their divorce papers and stars in a new reality show with him.

Of course, Vivid could never release the tape without Heidi's consent, so it's an idle threat. Unless they're both in on it and playing the media like always.

The Hills Recap: Drug Rumors, Metrosexuals, Dysfunctional Families & Healing Crystals

The second episode of The Hills' final season focused on nasty rumors and the b!tch who started them. Yes, we know that applies to pretty much every episode.

Lauren Conrad's non-sex tape and Speidi's involvement in spreading that story took up multiple seasons. Is Kristin Cavallari's "drug problem" the new version?

Last night's episode, "Rumor Has It," found her singling out Stephanie as the rumor culprit. Below, THG breaks down the action using our patented +/- scale:

Kristin on Stephanie Pratt and why she'd start rumors: "Because she's crazy, she's a pathological liar, she has nothing going on in her life." All true. Plus 15.

Stacie the Bartender is still around. Does Kristin not have any girlfriends the network didn't create for her? Is Stacie the Bartender her full name? Minus 4.

Brody Jenner: "[Steph] made up these rumors because she is a crazy person. With her past drug addiction, maybe she's mirroring herself." Deep. Plus 7.

Cocaine. It's what's for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Stephanie and Lo read about Kristin's drug use from gossip tabloids and thus think "she is definitely doing drugs," which is hilarious on many levels. Minus 3.

Kristin throws a party to "get to the bottom of this." Or because MTV told her too. Plus 2, because amazingly, the whole cast will be there, including Speidi!

Minus 9 for the lines fed to Brody about Ryan Cabrera and the fake conflict over Audrina. Metrosexual cracks are cliched, and why the eff would Brody care?

LOL, Ryan does look kind of d-bag-ish, however, so Plus 3.

Heidi Montag is, like, excited to debut her new body. Her fam didn't love her new look, but friends think she looks great. Psst ... they're getting paid. Plus 7.

What is Lo even doing on the show at this point? Minus 4.

Stephanie starts to make small talk with Spencer Pratt, but gets so choked up and starts to cry. Spencer berates her. How awesomely dysfunctional. Plus 5.

Comment rendered unnecessary.

Dismayed by family issues, Spencer is carrying around crystals to channel his anger and bring life "peace and balance." What a ridiculous human being. Plus 12.

Kristin says she really doesn't want to be friends with Stephanie because she just likes to create drama. That and 100 other reasons make sense to us. Plus 3.

Nice to see Charlie adopting the Justin-Bobby look. Minus 6.

What's more fake, any dialogue featuring Stephanie and Kristin or Heidi Montag's ginormous, hilarious fake boobs? No points, just throwing that out there.

TOTAL: +30. SEASON: +40. This was The Hills at its best and worst, all at the same time. So much contrived, but entertaining nonsense to go around.

Spencer Pratt Rips on Kate Hudson Breast Implants, Kim Kardashian Cat Pic, Dr. 90210, Snooki

The inventors of Twitter must have had Spencer Pratt in mind.

Whether it's in retaliation for media criticism of Heidi Montag, a ploy for whatever attention he can get, or simply out of boredom, dude is in rare form of late.

Just a few days removed from an epic rant against Audrina Patridge's "Tijuana plastic surgery" and various other celebrities, The Hills star is at it once again.

This time it's another rumored plastic surgery recipient - Kate Hudson - who drew his Tweeting wrath as Spencer feels her (rumored) boob job is inadequate.

"How is it possible to get breast implants and still not have breasts," he Twittered Monday. "Kate H - get ur money back. I gotta guy who will hook you up!"

A fair question ... and a generous offer. What a humanitarian.

Breast implants or not, Kate Hudson isn't Spencer's type.

Kate Hudson reportedly had breast implants of some kind put in recently, but her "new" chest looks an awful lot like her old one. Which is fine, of course.

But Spencer Pratt, who's been defending his wife from major negativity surrounding her recent plastic surgery bonanza, as not impressed, that's for sure.

He didn't stop at Kate, either.

Pratt took aim at Robert Rey - a.k.a. Dr. 90210 - who recently criticized Heidi, calling him a hypocrite, seeing as his daughter is totally "into plastic."

Branching out, he took on Kim Kardashian's kat kontroversy from yesterday, saying "Come on KK America's alrealy seen way too much of ur pu$$y."

Wow. Finally, for reasons unknown (aside from Twitter making it so easy) he bashed Snooki from Jersey Shore, posting "SNOOKI everyone" and this:

Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt Know How to Be Famous

As media and fame whores go, there's Speidi and there's everyone else.

The gruesome twosome from The Hills is so shameless about their ambition to be famous that their ambition to be famous is their M.O. There is no cover story, or ostensible reason for being. They exist so we will cover them.

And we do. Because that's what makes Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt so entertaining. Who else would write a book called How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture.

It's so delightfully straightforward, we almost admire them. Almost.

Recently, Playboy jumped the shark by featuring Heidi Montag nude. Now it's gone back for a second jump-around with the following Q&A with Speidi ...

Q: What led you to decide to write this particular book together?

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag: They always say, "Write what you know," and we know how to be famous. Plus, we're both extremely giving people.

What good is having all of this knowledge if you don't share it with others for the low, low price of $19.99, available online and at bookstores everywhere?

This book didn't require much planning. It's like if you asked Michael Jordan to write a book on how to dunk, or Bono to write one on how to be a rock star.

Q: Aren't you worried that revealing your strategies for becoming a celebrity and remaining in the public eye may have a detrimental effect on your fame?

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag: We're not worried at all. Our fame has never been about being liked. Being liked is fine, and we love it when people come up to us and say nice things, but we're famous because we keep people guessing.

What's more surprising than a famous person telling people how they did it?

Q: You reference Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the book as two celebrities who really know how to manipulate the press to their advantage. Are you at all concerned that [Brangelina] may have a negative reaction to your description of them?

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag: Well, we wouldn't want to piss them off. She might steal Spencer - you know, because she steals people's husbands! But seriously, we would love to sit down and discuss fame with them.

Q: What's on your agenda in 2010?

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag: Adopt an African baby, date Vince Vaughn, shave our heads, pretend Spencer is trapped in a balloon and have octuplets.

Spencer Pratt Bashes the Kardashians, Compares Himself to Barack Obama

Spencer Pratt has never actually gone away.

While a new season of The Hills kicks off tonight on MTV, the ridiculous reality star and wife Heidi Montag have rarely gone more than two days all summer without making headlines.

Still, during an interview with The New York Post, Pratt felt the need to announce his return to television by going off on a classic rant against Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian; while also comparing himself to a certain U.S. President. He said:

"Speidi is Barack and Michelle famous, not Kardashian famous! The fact that USA Today said we're the third most famous couple in the world after Brangelina and The Obamas is amazing."

As for Lauren Conrad, it's safe to say Spencer thinks her decision to exit The Hills was a mistake.

"Her ego ruined her life and her career - I pray for her every day and we'd all love for her to come back to The Hills when she realizes her move didn't work. She tried to put MTV over a barrel by demanding more money than God."

Audrina Patridge also has plans for her own reality show. How do you feel about that, Spence?

"The day she can hold 22 minutes of content with her brain, is the day I'm walking on Mars with no oxygen tank barefoot. Unfortunately, Audrina will have to wake up from that dream soon!"
