Lindsay Lohan: A Free Woman!

Look out, every nightclub in Los Angeles: Lindsay Lohan is a free woman.

Following 35 days under grueling, sprawling house arrest, the troubled actress had her ankle monitor removed at 10:20 a.m. local time today. At last check, she remained inside her Venice Beach, California condo, but was on her way to fulfill community service obligations at any moment.

"I spoke with her yesterday and she told me she is eager to return to fulfilling her community service obligation which she has been unable to perform during house arrest," Lindsay's rep tells E! News.

It was a difficult month-plus for Lohan, who was stuck inside her $2.25 million estate and forced to give interviews from the comfort of her living room sofa.

We have no doubt she's learned her lesson, scale back on her partying, resurrect her career and... darn. We almost got that out with a straight face.

Paris Hilton Zings Lindsay Lohan on Reality Show

While filming her new reality show, Paris Hilton gave a homeless woman her earrings. A nice gesture ... until the woman mistook Paris for Lindsay Lohan.

Whoa. Whoa. Big difference, homeless lady. Let's be clear. Hilton's response, filmed for The World According to Paris but which TMZ already has a clip of:

"If I were Lindsay, I would be stealing earrings ... not giving them away." BAM!!

This feud is straight outta 2006. We just need Britney to weigh in.

Lindsay Lohan, naturally, cannot take a joke and is PISSED at Paris, claiming the shot Hilton fired at LiLo on her reality show was just plain "mean."

Despite the fact that she says she's taking responsibility for her actions these days, Lindsay is still whining and telling friends, "[Paris] is just mean."

"You don’t have to make fun of serious matters in people's lives to be funny."

Waaaaah.

Lindsay Lohan Still Mulling Guilty Plea

Lindsay Lohan's lawyer is steadfast that her client will win in court. Or so she says. A recent report suggests her confidence level may be more tepid.

Shawn Chapman Holley has asked the judge in her grand theft case how much time Lindsay Lohan will get by agreeing to a guilty or no contest plea.

The eventual sentence was discussed last week in a secret meeting between Holley, Judge Stephanie Sautner and Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers.

Lohan's preliminary hearing is scheduled to begin Friday.

A source close to the case tells us the judge told both attorneys how much time she would serve, although word of any precise sentence hasn't leaked.

At worst, Lohan faces three years in a state slammer. She nixed a plea deal that would have gotten her just three months, but with probation as well.

We all know how Lindsay does with probation.

Lindsay Lohan Quits Smoking! No, Seriously!

Stop the presses. Lindsay Lohan has supposedly kicked smoking.

Not only is this a great move for, you know, long-term survival, but it's also smart given her looming jail sentence for grand theft/probation violation(s).

Lynwood Correctional Facility, a place with which she's sadly familiar, is a non-smoking detention center. Yep, no cigs in the can. It's a changing world.

Sources say Lindsay Lohan is on a health kick. No, we're serious.

Lohan is adamant that she's not going to jail despite the felony grand theft charge complicated by a checkered past and a disaster of a probation report.

Jail or no jail, girl is "continuing on the path to a healthier life" by kicking the nicotine habit. Cold turkey, in fact. She also works out with a trainer daily.

Lindsay Lohan Refuses Plea Deal Involving Jail

Lindsay Lohan's lawyer is doing all she can to negotiate the best possible plea deal for a client who, in legal parlance, is up s--- creek without a paddle.

The troubled star has other ideas about how to proceed, however.

Lindsay doesn't care what Shawn Chapman Holley is trying to work out with the D.A., and is still steadfastly refusing to plea bargain if it involves jail time.

DENIAL: The writing is on the wall, but LiLo won't read it.

Facing felony grand theft charges for allegedly pilfering a $2,500 from a jewelry store, and already on probation for her 2007 DUI case, she's up against it.

Nevertheless, Lohan insists on going to trial in the hopes she will win and clear her name. Apparently the train wreck is unaware of how probation works.

Holley, D.A. Danette Myers and Judge Keith Schwartz will meet week to get a feel for how much time Lindsay Lohan will be sentenced to with a guilty plea.

Given that her probation can be revoked at the judge's sole discretion, LiLo could be sitting behind bars one way or the other. Thus Holley's maneuvering.

Lohan doesn't care what kind of deal Holley gets, even if it means being locked up for merely a few weeks, though. She wants no part of it, end of story.

Lindsay wants to go to trial, feeling the surveillance tape will clear her name. It's a terrible gamble by all accounts, but one she seems hell bent on taking.

Is Lindsay Lohan doubly screwed after being busted for grand theft?

That's a possibility, given that she was on probation anyway for her DUI, and that her probation standing was shaky even before her recent felony arrest.

Lohan may avoid jail, but it's far from a lock. Even if the grand theft charges were dropped completely, a judge could revoke Lindsay's DUI probation.

The judge in the probation case can hold a hearing, sans jury, and has the sole power to decide if Lindsay ran afoul of her probation and take it away.

In a criminal case, the D.A. must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. In a probation violation case, the judge has all the power and more leeway.

Sources connected with the D.A.'s office say prosecutors could ask for a year in jail if the judge decides Lindsay violated the terms of her probation.

Chances are, there's a case to be made that she has done so.

Judge Elden Fox in Beverly Hills, who's lost patience with Lohan and revoked her probation before, would be the one making the call too. Not good.

Lindsay Lohan Swears: I Was Clean!

Contrary to the allegations of former Betty Ford staffer Dawn Holland, Lindsay Lohan says she was stone cold sober the night of their fight in rehab.

According to Lohan's camp, she met a friend at the Viceroy Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif., on December 11 to get her hair done. That's her excuse.

While there, sources say Lindsay knocked back Shirley Temples - the famous non-alcoholic mixed drink - along with an order of fries. That's it.

Sources claim Lindsay eventually headed back to her sober house, completely sober, at around 1 a.m., and that's when Holland confronted her.

Holland claims she smelled alcohol on Lindsay, who was reportedly out past curfew, and that the train wreck refused to take a breathalyzer.

Lohan claims she asked for the test in an attempt to prove her sobriety but was denied it by Holland, who she says has "had it out" for her.

The details vary depending on who you believe, but it got physical.

Holland alleges Lohan hurt her bad enough for her to go on workers' comp. Lindsay says Holland came at her first, but admits she pushed back.

Lohan was quick to play the victim card in the wake of the incident, which resulted in a call to the police and a battery complaint by the staffer.

The chemical dependency technician was fired by Betty Ford for talking to TMZ about this, and by doing so, may have even broken the law.

Lohan faces a possible police inquiry if officials believe she may have violated her probation in any way during her latest ridiculous incident.

Lindsay Lohan Dodges Bullet, Sent Back to Rehab

Lindsay Lohan dodged a major bullet this morning when Judge Elden Fox ordered her back to rehab until at least January 3, but spared her more jail time.

The troubled star is due back in court February 25, and will be subject to random drug testing in between her release from rehab until that court date.

If Lindsay does not test positive for drugs or alcohol, her sentence will be converted to unsupervised probation. So if she stays clean, problem solved.

THAT WAS CLOSE: Lindsay Lohan is headed back to Betty Ford, not jail.

The D.A., fed up with Lindsay's baloney, recommended she get 180 days in county jail. The judge could have sentenced her to a year if he deemed it necessary.

However, Fox was sympathetic to Lohan, but at the same time stern. "You are an addict. I hope you understand that," he said. Lindsay nodded in agreement.

"I don't want another train wreck," Fox warned. Asked if she was unclear on the matter, Linds tearfully responded, "No, your honor. I understand. Thank you."

Lindsay Lohan May Go Back to Jail

Lindsay Lohan admitted today that she failed one of her drug abuse tests, and her probation officer found traces of cocaine in her pee. Lindsay, who has to pee in a cup every single morning, was not enough to stay away from cocaine, and apparently thought she could outsmart the system.

In all reality, she failed not one, but two drug screening tests and she may end up back in the big house for her efforts. At least she is aware of her big fuckup, and she wrote on her Twitter stream today:

Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result.
Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future.
This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I’m prepared to face the consequences.
I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard, but also that I am a work in progress, just as anyone else. I am keeping my faith, and I am hopeful….Thank you all!!!

Lindsay Lohan Involded in another Hit and Run?

Radar Online just published a story according to which, Lindsay Lohan hit a kid in a stroller and kept going. Eyewitness Brayan Jaime told Radar Online:

There was a woman pushing a kid in the stroller, maybe a two or three-year-old, crossing the street. Lindsay took the red light and hit the stroller. It wasn’t super hard, but she made impact and hit them. Lindsay pulled to the right, stopped for two seconds, and then just kept going.

I refuse to believe this, and not because I thought Lindsay Lohan to be a respectable careful person, but because anyone whose kid gets hit by a Masserati will definitely sue, and so far no legal suit has been filed against Lohan or the owner of the Masserati.

We all knew it wouldn’t take Lindsay Lohan long to show her nipples after being released from rehab, but wow, the rush to do so has really blown us all.

So here is our favorite celebrity turned jail meat turned celebrity again, walking around in Los Angeles wearing a see thru top paired by her customary lack of a bra. If you notice, this is the most transparent top Lindsay Lohan has worn in a long time, so you gotta wonder if she’s in dire need of a good fuck and is showing her assets trying to hook any guy or girl into fucking her.

Lindsay Lohan Topless for GQ Germany

Lindsay Lohan’s camp announced today that the auburn-haired actress had checked herself into rehab early this morning, trying to clean up her act and looking good in front of the judge who sentenced her to 90 days in prison just a few days ago.

And just when you thought Lindsay Lohan was going to become yet another boring good girl (rehab has the bad habit of turning wild celebs into dull ones), a video was released where she was filmed posing topless for GQ Germany. Man, those Germans have all the luck! First they almost won the soccer World Cup, and now they get the last possible Lindsay Lohan Topless before her jail time starts!

Lindsay Lohan in GQ: Where is the Ankle Monitor?

Lindsay Lohan recently posed for the German issue of GQ, and we have to admit, looks more or less attractive and even coherent in the first pics released.

The weird thing? There's no signs of her court-ordered ankle monitor - and we know she had it on because it was visible in the behind-the-scenes photos.

Not that it matters, of course, and it's hard to blame GQ for not wanting to distract its readers from an otherwise enticing set of Lindsay Lohan pictures.

But it makes you wonder. How much airbrushing goes on, even when there is no SCRAM device involved? Take a look at Lindsay in Germany's GQ below:

As we reported yesterday, Lindsay is reportedly in rehab ahead of the July 20 court date at which she will be officially sentenced for violating her probation.

Hopefully she's allowed to stay there, rather than report to prison.

She faces a 90-day jail term, but by proactively checking herself into a sober living house, which she should have done months ago, she took a big step.

We just hope the judge sees it that way and Lindsay can get well.

Not on moral grounds or anything like that. They're just worried the train wreck won't survive a day without the one thing she can't live without ... cigarettes.
Lohan is likely to do time at the same all-female facility where Paris Hilton was locked up in '07, and the place has a serious zero tolerance no-smoking policy.
Bad news for Lindsay.
She's a "serious chain-smoker," blowing through at least two packs a day. "The first thing she does when she wakes up is light a cigarette," a friend says.

SMOKED: Lindsay Lohan must surrender July 20 to begin her 90-day jail sentence. Maybe she can draft up a legal manifesto to score some cigarettes in the slammer?

The source adds, "I'm honestly scared for [Lindsay] ... I don't think she's gone a day without smoking in years. This isn't something she can stop overnight."

We'd feel bad, except had she not displayed the worst possible attitude, acting like a spoiled brat who is somehow above the law, while flat-out ignoring very reasonable probation terms, she'd be free to smoke all day on the outside.
Just saying. It's her fault.
The upside is that if she goes to the Lynwood facility July 20, as expected, it could actually lead to her kicking the habit, if she's willing to put in the effort.
Don't hold your breath.

Happy Birthday, Lindsay Lohan!

Lindsay Denise Lohan was born 24 years ago today in New York City.

Even before she got her big break in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap at age 11, she was a successful child model destined for psychological problems stardom.

Lohan's career exploded from 2003-2005 thanks to lead roles in Freaky Friday, Mean Girls and Herbie: Fully Loaded, along with two relatively successful pop albums.

However, to quote her Wikipedia bio, "her career was interrupted in 2007 as two DUI incidents and three visits to rehabilitation facilities led to several lost movie deals."

Yup, that's pretty much where we stand today. Happy birthday, Linds!

Lindsay Lohan turns 24 today - and not in rehab or jail!

Despite more than one warning from people close to her that she is going to die imminently given her lifestyle, the troubled actress has defied the odds.

Sure, she's getting sued about once a week, and had to be freed on $100,000 bail twice in as many months, but relatively speaking, she's doing really well lately!

We wish her the very best on this special day, which we're sure she will enjoy, ankle monitor be damned. Might as well live it up before the day of reckoning Tuesday.

That probation hearing could spell big trouble for her.
