THG Exclusive: Ashley Dupre on Playboy Photos, Being a Call Girl, Love, Jersey Shore & More

Two years ago, Ashley Dupre - or "Kristen" as she was known to Eliot Spitzer - became embroiled in one of the biggest sex scandals ever, as the Governor of New York State was snared in a prostitution sting. He was Ashley's client.

After removing herself from the spotlight, she's back in a big way next month as Playboy's cover girl for May. Suffice it to say, she looks amazing.

Below, in an exclusive interview with The Hollywood Gossip, Ashley Dupre tells us:

Why she took part in the world's oldest profession
Why she chose to bare all for the men's magazine

THG: Did you ever struggle with or question the morality of your past profession?

Ashley Dupre: I was young, I was stupid, and I’ve made a lot of mistakes. Going back to the profession after being out for 11 months (before I got caught) was the hardest thing that I’d ever had to do up until that point.

I was in a relationship during those 11 months, which helped me learn self worth and self respect. I had dreams and goals and I was living a normal life during that time. When the man I was dating left me after 11 months, he left me with debt and responsibilities above my means. In order for me to be able to pay off my debt and move out of my apt I had to go back to work for a little bit.

At that moment, I felt like I had too much self respect to return to that line of work, so it was hard for me to go back. I felt like I was above that. But I had to. So I did. Do I feel bad about what I was doing? In a way, yes – I do take some responsibility. But at the end of the day, I was just doing my job.

THG: Without naming names, did you have any other famous clients besides #9?

Ashley Dupre: Maybe, maybe not. I do not kiss and tell.

THG: Why did you decide to pose nude for Playboy now, having turned down similar offers in the past?

Ashley Dupre: Playboy has been the number one men’s monthly magazine subscription for more than 55 years. Cindy Crawford, Brooke Burke, Pamela Anderson and Marilyn Monroe all graced the cover of Playboy, and I am honored to be next to [them].

My sex was being bought and sold, but in a different way through the media - half naked pictures of me were circling for a long time. Posing in Playboy was a way for me to reclaim my sexuality and take control of my image. This is the first time that I have had photo approval over any photos that are being released.

This is the first time that there are photos out there of me that were released with my permission. These photos are beautiful and I am so happy and proud to be affiliated with Playboy and to be part of the Playboy family!

THG: What was the most absurd piece of celebrity gossip written about you.

Ashley Dupre: Wow! Um, just ONE? Lol! That’s hard. There were a lot more than one! I can’t even remember. I have selective memory!

THG: Joe Francis: What a sleaze, are we right?

Ashley Dupre: Ummm, yes, I would have to agree with you.

THG: Are you still doing music at all?

Ashley Dupre: I am still working on my music. I’m also very realistic about where I’ve been and what I’ve gone through. I know that some people won’t take me seriously, so I need to show them who I am (rather than who they think I am) in order for them to take me seriously and give my music a chance. I know I have a lot of work ahead of me, but it’s been 2two years and I haven’t given up yet, so I doubt I will any time soon! I’m really committed to working hard on my music career and I hope things turn out well!

THG: Would you consider doing a reality dating show, a la A Shot at Love?

Ashley Dupre: LOL! I’m not sure, but I can tell you this much - I would not be making out on national television!

THG: Take us through a typical day for you.

Ashley Dupre: Well, I’m in LA now for a few months. It’s a nice change from New York! I just flew my dog Brooklyn back to LA with me, so, on a typical day, I wake up and walk him. Here’s what I do after that: have breakfast while I work on StilettoSuicide.com (my new blog), work on my New York Post advice column, catch up on emails, respond to my Twitter-bugs, go to the gym, jump on conference calls and take meetings/lunch meetings for some of the projects I’m working on, come home and walk Brooklyn, go to yoga, more conference calls, feed Brooklyn, have dinner with my friends, walk Brooklyn, and go to bed.

The one thing I do love about LA (among other things of course!) are the house parties and BBQs. We don’t really have that in NYC!

THG: What kinds of things do you look for in a man?

Ashley Dupre: I look for someone who thinks that all of my imperfections make me perfect, and someone who makes me overall a better woman.

THG: You're a Garden State native. Which Jersey Shore cast member is hottest?

Ashley Dupre: LOL! Where I grew up, it’s nothing like the Jersey Shore on the show ... the show totally gives Jersey a bad name! When I tell people that I’m from the Jersey Shore I find myself following it up with, “But it’s nothing like that show.” I must admit that watching the show is a guilty pleasure of mine, but I honestly haven’t watched it enough to know the character’s names. So, I’m not sure who is the hottest!

THG: Are you seeing anyone?

Ashley Dupre: Next question. :)

THG: Where do you see yourself in five years?

Ashley Dupre: Married. Maybe starting to think about having children. I know that what will bring me true happiness, and what will complete me as a woman is going to be my future husband and our family. I didn’t really have a great childhood or a really close family, so that is something that I crave. As far as work – I would love to see my New York Post advice column grow and I would love to see StilettoSuicide.com grow. I would love to help young girls who may be heading down a similar path as me and help parents communicate with their children. I would love to be known for anything other than what happened to me in 2008. I know I will never be able to erase what happened, but I hope to be able to show people who I am rather than who they think I am. I hope that I can work hard enough to ensure that my mistakes will not be what defines me.

Small diet tweaks: "I used to always get a chai latte from Starbucks, but I just switched to one espresso shot... I was eating a lot of dried fruit, and I didn't realize how much sugar that added. And now I'll eat raw almonds instead of salted ones."

Embrace a physical activity: "I'm big on running - just putting on my iPod Shuffle and going for a run by my house."

Eat fresh food: "Frozen yogurt tastes so chemically to me because I've been eating salads and salmon and chicken. Fresh food is so much better."

Then, there's this final tip: Get pregnant in order to increase ratings for your reality show, pocket lots of cash by exploiting this situation for every tabloid in the country, use that money to pay a personal trainer and personal chef to help you get toned, use Photoshop, offer absolutely nothing of substance to the world.

Sonja Morgan Aims to "Commercialize" Herself on The Real Housewives of New York City

Give Sonja Morgan points for honesty.

When asked by Entertainment Weekly why she's appearing on The Real Housewives of New York City (Morgan debuts tonight), the socialite replied:

"I’m on the show to have a good time and commercialize myself... I’ve been writing my screenplay since the minute my divorce started. It’s very sexy, sort of like a Candace Bushnell society novel."

Somewhere in a meeting with her agent, ignoring her children Kate Gosselin is shaking her head and wondering why a single mother on a reality show isn't using that platform to exploit her kids for sympathy, money and attention.

But back to Morgan. What is her life experience? Will she mix it up with her co-stars? We've excerpted a few responses from her aforementioned magazine interview:

What's her resume? I’ve been working my whole life, started at 14 years old put myself through college, and then I was modeling in Europe, doing the restaurant business, and brokering deals. Then I got married, had a baby. Then I produced a movie, then I produced an art show and produced an art tour. I said, “You know, I think it’s time to highlight my career."

Will she catfight? It’s not my M.O. I love to gossip like anyone else but I definitely don’t want to hurt other people’s feelings. I don’t have a mean bone in my body. I can be very gossipy and fakey like any woman is, and I hope I can keep my composure around the ladies.

What is she like? I don’t want to be cliché and say don’t judge a book by its cover, but there are many layers to me. I’m very down to earth and a good mom. I do my own gardening and floral arrangements and cooking. I’m much more down to earth than you would realize.

Baby Brother For Suri!

BEST NEWS EVER: And worst magazine cover.

What is true is that Suri Cruise is about to turn four. Her parents have "surprising news" in store, OK! claims, and that is that they may want another baby.

Someday. Here's the direct quote:

"A friend of the couple adds that despite already having an adopted son (Connor Cruise), Tom might like to have a biological son to pass on the gene pool."

Wow, he might like that? Enthralling. We can't wait to read about those possible desires and the Scientology regimen Katie must endure before conceiving.

Australian singer Sophie Monk was at the top of the list of Ralph magazine’s “150 Hottest Aussie Women Ever” and she certainly deserves it! Featured on the publication’s cover this month, Sophie proves with these pictures that she’s got what it takes to be part of this list.
Monk, who turned 30 years old this year, was shot in a breathtakingly beautiful beach Down Under, barely dressed in a bikini, with her hair in disarray and a “come fuck me” look on her face. Being as willing to show skin as she is, it is rare that Sophie Monk is not featured on magazines or movies more often. She is, without a doubt, the hottest Aussie woman ever, right there with Olivia Newton John, but much, much younger!
Speaking of, Oliva made the top ten, followed closely by Elle Macpherson and Miranda Kerr.

Lauren Conrad: Seventeen Cover Girl

The lovely Lauren Conrad, former reality star and current designer and author, is featured in next month’s issue of Seventeen. Needless to say, she looks terrific.

As LC said on Good Morning America this week, when asked about Heidi Montag and her recent plastic surgery, she won't be going under the knife anytime soon.

She's a natural beauty and a good role model for teens in that respect. Below are some excerpts from LC's interview with Seventeen, along with a bunch of pics:

On getting cut off: "Seventeen was a happy time for me, but 18 was hard. At 18 I was cut off financially! People think I've had it easy, but I haven't as much as you think ... When I went to college, I wasn't going to class in Louis Vuitton."

"There were times when my bank account was zero. I was financially independent, but I wasn't exactly living a lavish life. My dad was really adamant about that. He would say 'You're going to go to college and live it like everyone else.'"

On self-confidence: "There's always someone telling you your nose is too big or too small, or you're too fat or too thin. There's always going to be someone who doesn't approve of something about you. You're the only person you need to please."

On cheating: "I never really understood cheating because I've never cheated on anyone. I feel like if you are in a relationship with someone, and you want to be with other people, then you shouldn't be in a relationship - it's that simple!"

On her books' protagonist: "Jane is the main character [of Sweet Little Lies] and most like me. But also when I was more sarcastic and against [being on] the The Hills, I was able to illustrate that through Scarlett, her best friend."

On The Hills: "You set out to do a show based on your life, but you end up living a life based on your show. Everything you do has to be cleared - where you work, everyone who comes to your birthday, people you date, what clothes you wear."

"I actually had to get the paint color for my apartment approved by the director of photography. It was things like that that I really don't miss."

Taylor Lautner on Rolling Stone: One Wet Wolf

It looks like Taylor Swift has something in common with plain white t-shirts:

Indeed, Rolling Stone released a few photos from its Lautner spread in October. Now, though, the publication has unleashed its cover shot of the Twilight Saga star and we have just two words for it:

With the New Moon opening behind us, fans of this movie franchise may need to wait a couple months for the PR machine to rev up again in anticipation of Eclipse in June 2010.

Celebrity News Lie of the Week: Britney Spears to Marry Jason Trawick!

While there's little doubt that Britney Spears and Jason Trawick, her agent and boyfriend, seem very happy these days, the two aren't engaged or getting married.

We're confident in stating that as a fact, since they're taking things slowly, her impulsive days are long gone ... and her management team said this on the record.

Why let facts stop you sometimes, though? Right, OK!?

Apparently fresh out of Robsten rumors (although Kristen "will be there for Rob" in an ancillary article), the celeb gossip publication featured Britney this week.

She's apparently tying the not with Jason Trawick in a million-dollar beach wedding. Surprising that budget-conscious Jamie Spears gave that the green light ...

Sean and Jayden supposedly gave Jason Trawick their blessing.

The alleged scoop in OK!: Britney Spears is telling friends she’s ready to marry her boyfriend Jason Trawick. And "all it took was her boys’ blessing" to convince her.

Mmm hmm. Right. We're sure her sons, ages four and three, sat down with her and had a heart-to-heart, expressing their concerns and going over a pro-con list.

This will be her third wedding in five years. Or would be, if it were actually happening. And what's with the headline, guys? Creative. Never been used before.

Nevertheless, OK! cites a source claiming that the lip-syncher "does not have a doubt in her mind that she wants to spend the rest of her life with Jason.”

“She has already discussed marriage with him.”

Wow, a discussion? We're totally convinced.

Kim Kardashian: Klassy in Saturday Night Magazine

Kim Kardashian gracing the cover of a random, heretofore unheard of magazine? Not unusual.

Kim Kardashian looking classy and (gasp!) clothed in that publication's pictorial? A sign of the Apocalypse.

But that's exactly what takes place in the December issue of Saturday Night. Just look at the (relatively) modest cover shot:

In her interview, of course, Kim sounds more like Kim. She praises the realism of her show and acts as though her publicist doesn't contact the paparazzi to snap her photos.

A few excerpts:

On Keeping Up with the Kardashians:" Sharing our lives on the show is actually very beneficial. The best feedback was the wedding special. Before, people were saying, “Khloé and Lamar met a month ago now they are getting married. This is crazy and it can’t be real.”

But, after seeing the wedding special you see the whole process of what their life is like together and how they fell in love. If anything, people are now saying they totally get it. It’s just the best way for us to tell our side of the story.

On celebrity gossip photographers: If you happen to shop down Robertson Blvd. then you know they’re going to be everywhere. It happens that I love to go to this nail salon in Beverly Hills where there are always paparazzi. At times it’s frustrating because I just want to get my nails done with no makeup on and in sweats. Times like those you just wish they weren’t around.

January Jones in GQ: A Mad Men Marvel

Never listen to Ashton Kutcher.

That's the lesson we're taking away from the new issue of GQ, after reading that he once tried to encourage then-girlfriend January Jones to quit acting.

"[He] was NOT supportive of my acting," the Mad Men star tells the magazine. "He was like, 'I don't think you're going to be good at this.' So, f**k you!"

Damn straight!

Now that the Golden Globe-nominated actress stars as depressed housewife Betty Draper on the Emmy-winning AMC series, she isn't holding a grudge against Demi Moore's Twitter-obsessed husband, who "only has nice things to say" now.

"If anything, I should thank him," she says, putting the best spin on it. "The minute you tell me I can't do something, that's when I'm most motivated."

January never seemed so hot until now.

The onetime Abercrombie and Fitch model was at the gravesite of Doors frontman Jim Morrison in Paris when she realized she was "miserable" modeling.

"I left the agency and then - very quickly - decided to go to L.A. and try acting," January Jones recalls of how she got her start. "Without any training!"

She's still searching for the right guy, however.

"Dear men of America," she says into the GQ interviewer's recorder. "I like beer. I like football. I'm probably the most interesting girl you'll ever meet."

Christina Aguilera: Beautiful in the Buff!

This just in: Christina Aguilera nude photos don't just arouse random men searching the Internet.

They also do it for the singer herself.

In the latest issue of Cosmopolitan, Aguilera says: "I feel sexiest in the nude... [husband Jordan Bratman] has a way of making me feel sexy... [I have] fun playing up to my sexual side. I think women are such sensual beings."

Christina does make one thing clear: she isn't about to go Tila Tequila on anyone.

"I'm attracted to men ultimately - I'm married and I love my husband and I love what we do together, but honestly? If I had a choice between viewing a naked man or a naked woman, I'd choose the woman. We're just naturally sexier and more beautiful to look at."

Tabloid Hilariously Reports: Brad Pitt Moves Out, Brangelina Relationship is an Act

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have a Little League team worth of kids at home.

They give to numerous charities.

And nary a named witness has said a word about any fights between the couple.

Yet, according to a supermarket tabloid, the pair cutely dubbed "Brangelina" has broken up. Pitt has even moved out, as this reliable publication screams on its cover:

Despite appearances - as well as all sanity and logic - to the contrary, life for Hollywood's hottest couple has never been worse, sources told In Touch Weekly.

“Sure, they look happy in photos,” a friend said. “ [But] the cracks in their relationship are getting deeper and deeper. They are actors and can turn it on for the cameras most of the time.

Hmmm, they are actors! Each has even been nominated for an Academy Award! This story is seeming more likely by the second.

Following an argument in April, an insider said Pitt stormed out of the couple's rented mansion in Long Island, New York: "He told her very clearly that he just can’t live with her anymore."

In response, Jolie has allegedly offered Pitt $90 million for custody of their kids. If we were Brad, we'd totally hold out for $91 million.

She's almost underrated at this point.

While men argue over the hottest actress on the planet, and bar room brawls break out over Megan Fox versus Olivia Wilde, Jennifer Love Hewitt has a message:

The Ghost Whisperer star - who earned our sympathy months ago when critics bashed her body; only to lose it quickly when she went PDA crazy with Jamie Kennedy - covers the latest issue of Shape.

Lauren Conrad’s Bikini Cover Diet and Fitness Secrets

The Hill’s Lauren Conrad is on the cover of the September issue of Shape Magazine in on orange bikini and she’s in perfect shape. Lauren jokes that she packed on some pounds when her relationship with actor Kyle Howard became serious, “I call it the ‘boyfriend layer’. We’re having more romantic dinners out, and I was exercising less.”

In order to get back into shape Lauren decided to integrate working out into her relationship by going kayaking, hiking, surfing, biking and playing tennis.

For her diet LC doesn’t obsess over calories, instead she eats really fresh and healthy foods, she says, “I stop craving pizza and burgers.”

Jessica Simpson: Desperate, Longing For John Mayer

Jessica Simpson is desperately trying to get back in John Mayer's pants, if you believe the new cover of In Touch. Which you shouldn't, but hey, they printed it.

According to the poor man's OK! Magazine, Jessica wants to reunite with the douchebag after Tony Romo shattered her life by dumping her a few months ago.

She had "her whole future planned out" with Tony and wanted him to marry her. But then on the night before her birthday in July, everything fell apart. Sniff.

Now he's with Candice Crawford, sister of Gossip Girl star Chace, and even brings her to some of the same restaurants in Dallas he and Jessica used to hit.

“She can’t believe it,” an insider tells the mag. “Even if she doesn’t want Tony back, no one wants to see their ex moving on with a hotter, younger girl.”

DESPERATE HOOKUP: John Mayer definitely qualifies as such.

The fact that Nick Lachey got back together with Vanessa Minnillo hasn't helped Jessica's mindset either. She's becoming Jennifer Aniston-style pathetic.

While Jessica’s "career is going great" - apparently In Touch is stuck in 2003 here - her personal life "is kind of a disaster." At least they got that right.

“This couldn’t have come at a worse time for Jessica,” the friend of hers adds. “It’s opened up a lot of old wounds. She’s pretty insecure about herself."

That insecurity that has led Jessica "down a dangerous path of desperation and loneliness," as she's been secretly hooking up with her ex John Mayer.

Supposedly.

We'll set the over-under on how long it takes the douchebag to deny this on Twitter at two hours, since he Googles himself so often. This morning, he denied a similar rumor about himself - that Kristin Cavallari was playing his meat bugle.

Jennifer Aniston Still Believes in Love, Offers Obvious Relationship Advice

Jennifer Aniston is featured in the upcoming issue of Australia's Harper's Bazaar and lucky for us, the lonely, miserable wretch actress talks about love!

"I'm still a romantic. I still believe in love," the 40-year-old says when asked by the publication if her sad relationship history has made her cynical.

Thank goodness this insanely good-looking, wealthy woman is not completely resigned to dying alone (or at least packing on the pounds) at her age.

The Harper's Bazaar article also includes some relationship lessons direct from Jennifer Aniston. As for why romance sometimes fizzles, she explains:

"I think it's laziness. I really do. I think a good relationship is about collaboration. That's the way to go in a relationship," Aniston says, insightfully.

Jennifer Aniston is still a believer in love. Phew.

"I think you just need to talk to each other. Say what you need to say. Say what you want to say. That way it's not threatening. You just need to say, 'This is important to me.' Don't expect your mate to read your mind."

This apparently didn't work with Brad Pitt or that douchebag.

Jen also says women "try to do too much" in relationships.

"I think it's just instinctual as a woman to be the caretaker of your home, women complain that men don't do enough, but it's your own fault," she says.

"You train your man to do nothing. You can't blame someone for not knowing what his or her job should be if you don't ask for it right off the bat."

Taylor Swift is featured in the latest edition of Bliss magazine, a British publication that clearly has good taste in cover girls.

The country music superstar dishes on love and courage inside the issue, among other topics. Here are excerpts from her interview:

On love: “Love is something that happens to really lucky people, but sometimes it’s not an exact fit. A lot of times you end up with people who maybe look the way you want them to, but don’t act the right way.”

On song lyrics: “Putting personal details into my songs is a fearless move because there is a lot to lose. Some people might be freaked out and not talk to me in case they might end up in a song. But if one person is able to relate to it, then it’s worth it.”

On being let down: “Most of my songs are about when I’ve built up someone in my mind, but they’ve turned out not to be the person I thought they were. At that point, for me, there is no turning back.”

Gee, we wonder if she's referring to Joe Jonas.
